datomo® Mobile Desk Admin Control Center
The Admin Console is the heart of the datomo® Mobile Desk Enterprise Edition, it is the management and control center. The administrators manage the devices through this user interface and allocate access permissions for the use of mobile devices. This console connects with the datomo® Mobile Desk server through LAN and can be used by any authorized administrator on any PC or laptop. The console consists of three areas: user control, administration of statistics and the settings administration.
For example passwords are being managed here as well as access rights for folders. The tab “settings” enables IT to define and implement the company’s guidelines.
datomo® Mobile Desk Tigress Server
datomo® Mobile Desk Tigress server is an infrastructure which allows a quick and easy adaptation to the ever changing requirements of the market. The infrastructure is based on the blade server technology, which as a modular unit serves as a framework for several blade processors. The multi-unit housing offers a high computing performance along with reduced energy consumption. Each Tigress server supports up to 15,000 users. If you have more users, additional blade servers can be easily connected. This solution can be offered as an in-house solution, whereby the datomo® Mobile Desk server will be located behind the company’s firewall, or alternatively as a hosted solution, whereby the datomo® Mobile Desk server is located outside the company, but is still protected by firewalls and datomo® Mobile Desk security features.
Push Email Technology
The datomo® Mobile Desk solution uses an intelligent routing technique and synchronizes and/or transfers data between the e-mail server and the client only when the user is logged on. If a new event occurs at the data source or at the mobile device, the server will firstly check if the user is logged in and then the synchronization between the client and the server will take place in real time. This enables a bi-directional synchronization of contents between the company’s email servers and each mobile device. This data is neither duplicated nor stored externally. datomo® Mobile Service Desk achieves the highest level of data security for all its users.
