With datomo® One Number the user can be reached on just one number worldwide. The application guarantees optimal roaming for fixed line and mobile phone calls and is based on a solution by Quescom, a leading supplier for  FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence-Solutions).

Reduction of telecommunications costs

The return on investment of a datomo® solution can be reached in only a few weeks. In many cases savings of 50% can be achieved, although this number can be as high as 90% in some situations. This service analyzes the current telecommunications costs and compares these with the expected cost scenario when using datomo® One Number. Every call made from a fixed line to a mobile network - incoming and outgoing - is routed through the company's infrastructure. All calls are being analyzed to establish the most cost-effective network. As a result the user can avoid high roaming costs. A summary of all calls allows a detailed statistic and analysis of the entire fixed line and mobile phone traffic.

Cost Management / Cost Reduction

By using GSM-Gateways calls are not initiated from the mobile phone but from the Gateway. The mobile phone unit communicates to the Gateway which conversational party should be called. The Gateway is taking over the transmission and establishes the most cost-effective connection to both parties according to individual rules and standards. Based on a detailed analysis of telecommunication costs, routing and standards can be individually adjusted accordingly.

User definable rules and standards allow the minimization of roaming costs. Various locations can be connected to a system via the Gateways. Thus, calls are connected between the Gateways, regardless whether from a mobile phone or a fixed line telephone. This minimizes roaming costs between locations. In the process the telephone fee is only charged for the connection from the Gateways to the respective parties if the participant has a local SIM-card or can be reached in WLAN via a dual mode mobile phone. For outgoing calls roaming costs can be halved through a simple callback-service via a national SIM-card.

Internal calling costs can be reduced through WLAN connections. Voice Call Continuity (VCC) can switch from WLAN to GSM during a call without the calling party being aware of it. The VCC function is hard­ware dependent and cannot be activated on all mobile phones.

User Management

The Gateway is connected between the telephone connection and the telephone system. With the aid of the web console, the application connects the user and allocates him the respective One Number. In a last step he defines the units that belong to this One Number. Every user has their own web interface in which he can apply his own individual settings (Dual Call, fixed line network only etc.).

The configuration wizard allows easy cost control, analyzing and adjusting of routing regulations accordingly.

One Number Client

The One Number Client provides the functions of the telephone system on the mobile phone units. With this fea­ture functions such as 3-way conferences, speed dial, on hold music, call forward, fax and voice mail and Caller ID can be used worldwide in such a way as if co-workers are present in the office. This also automatically increases the reachability of employees worldwide.

The One Number Client for the connection of the TC-functions on Smartphones is available for BlackBerry, Nokia and Windows Mobile as well as also for iPhone and Android – Smartpho­nes.
